This house is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures, and the setting is very peaceful. The interior design is so well thought out and feels luxurious. The primary bed was so comfortable, and I'm very picky about beds! The third floor space is classic and magical and my kids loved sleeping and playing up there. It's a short walk down to the Assembly Inn and Lake Susan if you take the right route. Montreat in general is such a special, idyllic place and this house is an exceptional place to stay there. Chad was very communicative and even offered to ship a couple of things we left behind. My family of five loved everything about staying here and we'll be returning!

We really enjoyed our stay at the charming Moss Cabin. Montreat is a really beautiful and safe community that was situated in a really convenient location, with downtown Black Mountain just a few minutes away. The home itself felt very comfortable and cozy and was really beautiful. I would definitely recommend this home for your trip to Asheville.

This was one of our favorite AirBnb's that we've stayed in! First, the location was amazing! Montreat was beautiful, it was less than 10 minutes into the town of Black Mountain (wonderful restaurants, breweries, and shops), and there was incredible hiking right down the street. The Airbnb itself was just perfect and the attention to detail throughout our entire experience was above and beyond. From the interior decor to the hosts leaving fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, and fresh bags of coffee... You could tell how much they truly cared to make it wonderful experience from start to finish. They answered any questions that we had and were so responsive! I have nothing but good things to say and we will definitely be back!

Our family of five had a great stay! The house looks straight out of a storybook and was very comfortable; the location is wonderful — easy walk to Montreat, close to black mountain, and less than half an hour from Asheville. Would absolutely visit next time we’re in the mountains!

Our family of 5 spent a very happy 4 days in this beautiful mountain cabin at the end of December. It’s even more beautiful than the pictures. Every detail has been thoughtfully planned. Loved the quirky floor plan, the big indoor fire place, the sleeping porch. Chad and Katie are extremely responsive hosts. Very special place. Hope to return.

Chad’s place is beautifully designed and peaceful. His directions to get to the home were very helpful since it is a residential one way street on the side of the mountain. Pictures do not do it justice, the home is gorgeous. We were very impressed with how clean the home was!! The stairs to the third level were a little precarious not beyond reason, just be mindful for very young children or older guests.

We loved everything about this place! It is such a romantic little cabin, but not so little as it fits so many family members! While we were only four, we really made use of the entire cabin, with all its nooks, reading spots, places to nap, and really loved the outdoor sleeping porch. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds incredibly comfortable, and all the linens were high-quality, Chad and Katie were amazing hosts and we are excited to come back!

Chad’s place was so magical and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The local coffee provided was amazing to wake up to. The cabin is very close to downtown black mountain and we loved visiting town every morning and all the local shops! We would definitely book again!
