From beginning to end we throughly enjoyed our stay. Chad was a fantastic host and his wife an incredible detail oriented designer. We excited for future stays with them in the upcoming year. 5 stars would recommend.

We had the best time recharging and connecting at the cabin. The place is absolutely cozy and so well designed. There was a great common space, plus options for tucking away. Beds were comfy and the bog dining table was great for playing board games. The location, in Montreat, was ideal with Black Mountain a few minutes away for restaurants and shops. Check-in was a breeze and Chas was super responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in Black Mountain. The space is charming, clean, and very comfortable—definitely rustic and a bit primitive in the very best way. If you’re looking to unplug and enjoy a quiet, peaceful getaway, this place is perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable, the linens and sheets were fresh and clean, and the cabin was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location is fantastic—about a 10-minute drive into Black Mountain, where we enjoyed exploring local artisans, crafts, and fine art. The town has great food, excellent coffee, and one of the best breakfasts we’ve had at a quaint local spot. The people were incredibly friendly! The cabin is also within walking distance of several hiking trails and allows direct access to the outdoors! We spent a great deal of time enjoying the outdoors! Overall, a lovely, cozy, and memorable stay—we would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting a rustic escape.

We had a wonderful time! It was just like the pictures 😊 Very cute and cozy, kitchen was fun to cook in, bathroom was clean, linens were fresh and bed was comfortable. Chad was quick at responding and checked on us through out our stay.

It’s a wonderful place little cabin for a romantic getaway. The path down is a little treacherous, especially if you’re arriving after dark. And the bedroom is accessible only by ladder.

We loved this cozy cabin in the woods! It was like a warm hug on a cold Fall weekend! The house is so interesting and unique and beautifully decorated. What a gem. I hope to be back in the future to sleep on one of the sleeping porches! We loved the outdoor fire pit and the cozy sofas. It was perfect for our family weekend getaway! Thank you!

Our stay at this cabin was picture-perfect and idyllic. It was peaceful and quiet; exactly what we were hoping for. We spotted a deer right by the house, which made it feel extra special and connected to nature. The cabin itself had everything we needed to cook, relax, and unwind. The hosts were incredibly communicative and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend, we would love to come back!

Oh my goodness this place is magical! So quaint, so beautiful, so cozy and honestly a dream! We felt like we had gone back in time with the rustic beauty and charm and all the details of each room were amazing. Special touches of the sitting room with moody lighting and ambiance to the beautiful kitchen layout with the pans hanging over the stove to the upstairs twin bed room to the outside sleeping room off the master bedroom, everything was just so special and lovely. Communication with Chad and Kaitlin was great and all instructions were clear for check in all the way to check out. I can't wait to bring my husband back here one day as I know he will love it as much as I did.

If you are looking for a cabin that has the rustic elegance feel, that offers a complete recharge in your busy life...this is the cabin for you. Cabin was very comfortable, very quiet, and my wife LOVED the claw foot tub. If you want a great breakfast...highly recommend the Salty Goat which was very close to the cabin. We will be returning as this was one of our favorite spots!

I would highly recommend this location and hosts if you are looking for an extended getaway but still want to feel at home. I have paid a lot more for a lot less spectacular of a place. The pictures are exactly what you’re getting, they do live on the property but you still very much have your own privacy. Both Chad and Katie are responsive to questions and had great recommendations for out of towers. If you stay a couple of our favorite things were Chestnut and Zambra for dinner. The Rhu for coffee and Sweeten creek antique if you like to antique shop.
